Motorola has been making strong smartphones in recent years, and its Edge series is a popular choice for people who want good design, smooth performance, and clean software. In 2025, the company introduced two new models the Motorola Edge 60 and the Motorola Edge 60 Pro.

If you are planning to buy a new phone, you might be confused: Is the regular Edge 60 enough, or should you spend more for the Edge 60 Pro? Let’s break it down in simple words.

Design & Build

Both phones look premium with slim designs and curved displays. The Edge 60 is a little lighter and slimmer, which makes it easy to use with one hand. The Edge 60 Pro is slightly heavier because it packs more advanced hardware.

Both phones have glass on the front and back, and an aluminum frame. They also come with water resistance (IP68 rating). So, in terms of looks and durability, both are very close.

If you like a lighter and more compact phone, the Edge 60 is a good choice. If you don’t mind a slightly bigger phone, the Edge 60 Pro feels more “flagship.”

Display

The Motorola Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro both come with a 6.7-inch OLED curved display. You get Full HD+ resolution, HDR10+ support, and a 144Hz refresh rate. Colors are sharp, brightness is strong, and watching videos or playing games feels smooth on both phones. In terms of the screen, you will not notice a big difference. Both are excellent.

Performance

This is where the main difference comes in.

  • Motorola Edge 60: Runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. It is powerful enough for daily tasks, social media, photography, and even gaming.
  • Motorola Edge 60 Pro: Runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which is closer to flagship-level power. It handles heavy gaming, video editing, and multitasking more smoothly.

If you are a casual user, the Edge 60 is more than enough. But if you are a power user who plays high-end games or does heavy work, the Pro version is worth spending extra.

Cameras

  • Edge 60: Comes with a 50MP main camera + 13MP ultra-wide + 32MP front camera. Pictures look detailed, colors are natural, and selfies are bright.
  • Edge 60 Pro: Comes with a 50MP main camera with OIS + 50MP ultra-wide + 12MP telephoto + 60MP front camera. The Pro has more versatility, especially with zoom shots and better low-light performance.

If you love photography and want professional-looking shots, the Pro version is better. But for normal photos and social media, the Edge 60 does a fine job.

Battery & Charging

Both phones come with a 5000mAh battery, which lasts a full day with ease.

  • Edge 60 supports 68W fast charging.
  • Edge 60 Pro supports 125W ultra-fast charging and also has wireless charging.

If you want super-fast charging and wireless charging, the Pro version has the edge. Otherwise, the regular Edge 60 is still very reliable.

Software

Both phones run on Android 15 with MyUX skin. Motorola promises 3 years of major updates and 4 years of security patches. The software experience is almost stock Android, clean and smooth.

Price

  • Motorola Edge 60: Expected to be around ₹32,000 – ₹35,000.
  • Motorola Edge 60 Pro: Expected to be around ₹45,000 – ₹48,000.

The price gap is nearly ₹12,000 – ₹13,000.

Which One Should You Buy?

  • Buy the Motorola Edge 60 if:
    • You want a premium phone at a reasonable price.
    • You don’t play very heavy games.
    • You are happy with good photos but don’t need pro-level zoom.
    • You are okay with fast charging but not obsessed with the fastest speeds.
  • Buy the Motorola Edge 60 Pro if:
    • You want flagship-level performance.
    • You love photography and need telephoto + advanced selfies.
    • You want super-fast charging and wireless charging.
    • You don’t mind paying extra for long-term usage.

Final Words

Both the Motorola Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro are excellent phones. The regular Edge 60 is the better value for money — it gives you almost everything at a lower price. But if you want the best performance, best cameras, and fastest charging, the Edge 60 Pro is worth the extra money.
